    A Godless Society

I’ve been reviewing some sad yet interesting statistics on Christianity. Here are some that really stood out to me.   While Christianity is still the largest religious group (as of 2015) in the world with around 2.3 billion professing to be “Christian”, in Europe Christians are actually dying faster than they are being born and Christianity is in decline. Muslims are the second largest religious group around the world with an estimated growth of 70% from 2015-2060. 32% of the world’s population is considered to be Christian with the largest nation being America at 79.5% of the population (around 247 million in 2010). 78% of adults in America identify as…

    Love Always Perseveres

We’re almost done with my series on love and I’m excited to start writing my book again about this subject! I can’t wait to get more in-depth. But, in the meantime, we’re going to continue with this series today on 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 with “Love always perseveres.” First, what does it mean to persevere? Well, the dictionary defines it as to “continue in a course of action even in the face of difficulty or with little or no prospect of success.” That sounds like many of our lives, doesn’t it? My first thought when I read that was, “Do we even have a choice? Don’t we have to persevere?” But…

    Love Always Hopes

Today I am continuing my series on love based off 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. And I want to talk about hope. Hope is a vital part of any life, Christian or non-Christian, because without hope we give up on life. People who commit suicide have lost all hope. But God wants us to live each day filled with hope and if we want to learn to walk in love, we have to learn how to get and keep hope in our lives no matter what trials or storms come. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. (Psalm…

    What is God’s Favor?

God’s favor is one of the most talked about subjects in churches, preaching, and teaching. It is something we all rejoice over and celebrate and it’s something to get excited about. But do we really understand it? Do we even truly, deep down, believe that we can have it? And what does favor even look like in our lives? This post will answer those questions and is the beginning of a series on favor that I’m going to write. Each week I’ll write a prayer for favor in different areas of your life, so keep an eye out! But first, we need to understand what favor is and what it…

    It’s All About Grace

If you’re anything like me and grew up in the church, or even if you are new to Christianity but you’ve been going to church recently, you’ve probably heard the word “grace” thrown around a lot. God’s grace, giving grace, having grace, receiving grace…grace grace grace. I think we can hear something over and over without really understanding it. I mean, I hear people talk about our economy but I still don’t really understand how it works because I’ve never studied it. Never wanted to, still won’t. But, I have grown up hearing about grace and I don’t think I truly understand what it is or what it means or…

    Don’t Give Up

One of the main reasons I have this blog is to encourage other married women through my own walk as a married woman. Justin (my husband) and I are going on two years in May and they have definitely been two of the hardest years of my life. Being married is not easy. I always heard married women say that when I was single and honestly, I thought they were being a bit whiny. But now I finally understand. There are just some things in life you’re not going to get until you are there yourself. Single people can’t understand a married person’s life and troubles. Married people without kids…
