On Friday’s I like to write stuff that’s just fun and family-friendly. Keep in mind that family-friendly doesn’t mean it’s for kids. But it’s clean and stuff that I like to recommend.
Now, I already have a Christian book list if you’re interested in that. I will periodically update it and add new books as I read them. But this list is for fiction books if you are craving something to read on a Friday night!
So, here are some great books that I really enjoyed and that you might like as well!\
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
While the writing in this book may be a little hard to understand at times because it was written in the early 1800s, Austen has a wonderful sense of humor and writing style that is certain to please. She was very good at observing people and creating fascinating yet realistic characters that portray not only what life was like when she lived but even the way people can still behave today! So, I highly recommend that you check it out.
Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
If you love mysteries you can find none better than the original Sherlock Holmes stories. Doyle weaves brilliant tales full of clues and surprise endings together with the character development of Sherlock Holmes and his best friend Dr. John Watson in a way that no one else could! If you’re interested, make sure you check out his works for yourself!
The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Various Authors
If you liked the original Sherlock Holmes stories, you will probably enjoy these other adventures of the famous detective. Now, I haven’t read them all, but I’ve read quite a few and they were all good – all written in a style similar to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle but with the unique perspective and voice of each author. You can find them at Barnes and Noble and there are a lot of them!
I actually haven’t read many books since I got married, so I’m not sure what else to recommend. Most of the books I remember loving from the past are all young adult, mostly fantasy novels. If I read anything else, I’ll post it here, or if you have any books to recommend post them in the comments below or use the contact form and I’ll add them here!
