    It’s All About Grace

If you’re anything like me and grew up in the church, or even if you are new to Christianity but you’ve been going to church recently, you’ve probably heard the word “grace” thrown around a lot. God’s grace, giving grace, having grace, receiving grace…grace grace grace. I think we can hear something over and over without really understanding it. I mean, I hear people talk about our economy but I still don’t really understand how it works because I’ve never studied it. Never wanted to, still won’t. Love Rejoices in the Truth

Today we’re continuing my series on love taken from the scripture 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. What is truth? In society today truth seems to be whatever one wants it to be. If I want to believe something, it’s true to me. But is that really truth? What if my truth says that your truth is wrong? Does that still make it true? He’s God and His timing, while perfect, never matches ours. My husband and I are going through that right now. God has made some promises to us that we believe by faith are from Him, but month after month goes by and there is no answer, no blessing, nothing. And the longer I wait, the more doubt…

Love Does Not Rejoice in Evil

In today’s post, I’m going to continue my study of love found in the Bible passage of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. I want to focus on the verse, “Love does not rejoice in evil.” I guess our first question is, what is evil? Let’s look at the Word of God. 20 He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. 21 For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23 All these evils come from inside and defile a person.” (Mark 7:20-23)  29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They…
